Great photos Rita, I feel like slapping the weather network, for saying 100 percent thunderstorms for your area starting at 11 a.m. and it didn't actually start raining till 3 p.m. there.... so sad we missed it but Ravenhills and us had our own, in lieu, playdate at Professor's Lake... anybody interested in seeing that slide show you can find it here. http://pets.webshots.com/sl...

Hi, the weather held up for the most part, it didn't start raining until almost 3pm but I had a great time and Scooby had a ball, he got 2 ice creams. One with Kathleen and one when we met the rest of the group. We took pics they will follow shortly so look for them. Sorry to all the people that didn't make it. We can always do this again.

It's an hours drive from Etobicoke and they are calling for thunderstorms here too. I guess Joey and I will take a pass this time. Hopefully we're available for the next time. Thanks Rita.

Hi, I was reading that LOL for the most part the water will be shallow but if the dogs decide to venture further out? I have a 16 ft leash we could put her on. I wouldn't worry, Scooby to with his excitement has made dogs of 2 or 3 yrs old suddenly like water and swim. LOL

Rita, thank you for offering your small life jacket but I don't think it will fit. I really must update my profile picture. My puppy is now 120 lbs and 29 inches tall. I'll just try to keep her to the shallower part of the water. Maybe Jesse can teach her to swim.

Hi LOL The Achannel says cloudy with showers, the weather channel is saying that it will rain Fri evening through Sat morning, and cloudy for the rest of the day with a chance of showers? so I'm hoping that by noon it will have stopped but as I said the ground will still be wet? I hope their all wrong and its bright and sunny LOL

It is funny, hubby said to me yesterday, "Saturday we will clean and organize the pantry" I said "no we are going to Tottenham", he said "not if it rains" I said "yes we are going regardless", he said "no" I said "yes" I won. I don't melt... I have a rain coat and so does hubby

Hi I looked on the Weather office. and they say for our area the temp will be 22, cloudy and showers. so it will not rain but we could get wet with possible showers? I don't melt when I get wet LOL so I'm still willing. But your feet will get wet from the grass. So let me know?? I guess we will go by the numbers?? Thanks Rita.

We could always do another one maybe in October with the fall colours. Unfortunately we are pretty busy camping in August and September

Hi we can always do this one again? I'm not a winter person but thinking about all that clean deep snow that they can run threw. That would be nice too.

I'm really wish I could have made this one. So many GSD. Looks like this is going to be a good turnout. Hope you have a good day.

    •  It was fun... Too bad the threat of thunderstorms scared off those travelling a further distance. It hardly rained at all.

Rita did a wonderful job at showing us the most amazing spot in Tottenham where our dogs were able to go free and play in the shallow river and in the tall grasses. We and another owner arrived later than expected and Rita had already come back from going with another owner down to this wonderful spot but she didn't even think twice about going with us again once she found us at her door on her way back! Thank you Rita!

It was to bad that the weather man called for Thunder storms, but Mother Nature held out for us. We went to the river and the dogs had a great time I don't know what they enjoyed more? The water or the ice cream.
    •  We (Sierra and I) go there late but ended up having a great time. There were 3 dogs in total as one had left; I got there late. The dogs had great fun running in the river until it started raining rather hard so we call a finish to the playdate and headed home. I would definitely go back to a playdate in Tottenham. Debbie
